Biography

Denise Bașșahan (born 1989, The Netherlands) is an freelancer visual artist currently based in   

's-Hertogenbosch/The Netherlands. She is fascinated by spirituality, sustainability, nature and anthropology.

Her work has been featured by organizations such as Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam, Intratuin, Footlocker, and others. 

Work

Her main focus has been on art direction for the past several years, however the art of storytelling has caught her interest. This caused her focus to shift more to concept development, illustration, photography and directing. 

she creates and channels through her intuition to translate these visuals into different art forms.

Mainly exploring themes of discontentedness, search for freedom, self-expression, repression of the body and emotions, isolation and controversial subjects. Her style could be described as raw, aesthetic, vulnerable and imperfect.
